About
A journey through thoughtful engineering.

Hey, I’m Saurav Nagpal. My engineering journey began in 2005, when I started studying Computer Science. In 2009, I stepped into iOS development — and I’ve been building mobile applications ever since.

Over time, development became more than writing code. It became about understanding systems — how they are structured, how they scale, and why certain decisions matter. TechStories grew from that thinking.

Blog

Growing up in India, stories were always around me. They were part of everyday life — shared at home, in books, in conversations. As a child, I was drawn to them. As I grew older, I began to understand why they mattered.

Stories shape understanding. They make complex ideas easier to hold and remember.
Over time, I realised engineering can be approached the same way.

This blog is where I explore technical ideas step by step — not as isolated concepts, but as journeys. Sometimes the topic is Swift. Sometimes it’s system design. Sometimes it’s Artificial Intelligence and how models actually learn.

Each article begins with a background story to understand the problem — how it appears, why it matters, and where it comes from.
Only then do we explore the structure behind it and build towards a clear solution.

Apps

Starting a new application always gives me immense pleasure.
When I begin writing the first lines of code, the whole day feels meaningful.

There’s a quiet excitement in building something from the ground up — defining its structure, shaping its behaviour, and watching it slowly come to life.

The applications here begin with curiosity, but they are shaped with discipline. Whether it’s Save Trees or Planet Trail, each project is built with the same principles discussed in the blog — clarity, structure, and long-term maintainability.

Tools

Along the way, small ideas often appear — ideas that don’t need a full application, but still deserve to be built. The tools here are simple and purposeful. They solve a problem, test a concept, or explore a technical idea in isolation. They are reminders that engineering is not only about large systems. Sometimes it is about small, precise improvements.
